Well this post is long long overdue but so glad I am finally able to sit down and get this one posted. This winter had other plans for me so all of these other things I love had to be put on the back burner ( like blogging one of my favourite weddings ).
As I look back thru these images I am immediately taken back to the excitement and jitters I felt this day! Madeline is a girl with incredible taste, style and class and having her choose me from so many amazing photographers out there was truly an honour. I should add Madeline planned this wedding from California where she works and I wasn't able to meet them til the day before the big day when I photographed their rehearsal party at the Garrison Brewery. Instantly I knew it would be good. Little did I know that I would show up to shoot this awesome party and know most of the people there. Guess that is what happens when you marry a good ole Caper boy!
We started our day at the most beautiful bed and breakfast where the girls got ready and I can not even begin to tell you how excited I was to shoot here, I hated to leave. all white interior, beautiful light, and room after room of pretty on top of more pretty!! Seriously this place had me like a kid in a candy shop any Halifax brides out there looking for a pretty space to get ready in this is your place staroftheseabandb.ca.
Shooting a wedding like this would not be the same without an amazing sidekick to second shoot with and I was so lucky to have www.leslieestellephotography.com Thanks Leslie for helping to keep me calm when I had no clue how to get around Halifax or when I couldn't get parking downtown moments before the wedding was to start and not to mention some of the amazing captures you helped create.
Madeleine and Mike your wedding was certainly magazine worthy! and Lot Six .. Wow no words to describe this venue and how they went above and beyond for every little detail of this day! I mean like seriously I have never in my life seen salt and pepper in gold seashells with the teeniest of spoons to sprinkle over your food. They worked their buts off transforming the space from a ceremony site, to the amazing spread they prepared and of course the party with the most delicious drinks ever!
As much as I can go on about all of the details what leaves me the most excited is the feeling I have when I leave a wedding! sometimes I walk away I am tired and glad to be done but when I leave a day that I pour my heart and soul into I leave with a heart so full it could burst. That is what I felt leaving this wedding. From the love Madeline and Mike shared with each other to the obvious love from their family and many friends it was seriously contagious!
